My Story:
After being single for 25 years, I was motivated to lose weight after I met my soul mate Jennifer at an American Idol concert in Toledo, Ohio last August, so I started living the Atkins way of life. I live in Virginia, and she lives in Toronto, so we had a whirlwind year of romantic long-distance rendezvous between countries. On Valentine’s Day, I proposed to her on one knee, which I could do now that I lost so much weight. This May we traveled to Switzerland, Germany and Paris for two weeks. I was able to fit in a plane seat again and didn’t need a belt extension! We had the most amazing time. I couldn’t have done this just a few months ago. We are planning our wedding for this October and I should be hitting 250 pounds, with a total loss of 225 pounds by then. It takes a total commitment to the Atkins Way of Life to be truly successful. It’s not a “diet” and you can’t think of it that way. You are changing the way you eat, for life. Being on Atkins has really saved my life, and I have an amazing future ahead of me! Atkins is the only way I’ve found to easily and healthily lose weight without starving or feeling hungry. It has made me healthier and has given me confidence and self-esteem knowing that with every pound I lose, I am feeling and looking better and better. Atkins has truly given me my life back and I am very grateful.
Favorite Atkins Friendly Food: There is so much to choose from, but I love eating fresh berries in the mornings. Berries in sugar-free Jell-O are so good!
