My Story:
In just three months, I’ve lost 40 pounds and 9 inches off of fat off my belly, bringing me from a pants size 37 to a size 31. Before Atkins, I suffered back and knee pain due to 40 pounds of extra fat on my 5’, 10” frame. This 33-year-old sugar addict felt like a confused, old man. Why was my weight such a constant fluctuating cause of anxiety? I always knew something was missing, some key ingredient to the mystery of why I so easily gained weight even when exercising. With Atkins, I unlocked my body’s full potential for burning energy and stored fat. I was able to finally say goodbye to sugar through the Induction Phase. This was the easiest two week eating plan I’d ever been on. I read the book and my body took care of the rest—14 pounds in two weeks!
As weeks passed, my energy levels soared as the weight dropped off the scale, and the inches melted off my belly as I learned how to eat each day in the real world. I also learned that measuring inches is a far more accurate way to track progress. The scale weight would fluctuate, but I lose inches every single week of my journey. It kept me motivated, and I didn’t experience any discouragement from the fluctuating scale. Atkins has helped me break free from my sugar addiction. Before Atkins, I never felt full; I always could eat more and not feel satisfied. I would eat until I was sick. Now, by eating the Atkins way, I know which foods work with my blood sugar levels to help maintain my energy and keep me feeling satiated. Thanks to Atkins, I now live a happy, healthy, balanced life. In return, I have already inspired a dozen people to live the Atkins Way. By sharing recipes and living by example, my friends have witnessed their own dramatic results.
Favorite Atkins Friendly Food: Flaxseed Muffins, the secret weapon of Atkins. It really tastes like a bakery treat yet they are so filling and have a healthy dose of fiber. And the Atkins Advantage bars and shakes truly taste like a treat.
