INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp Canola Vegetable Oil
  • 1 small Onions
  • 1 lb Sauerkraut (Solid and Liquids, Canned)
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth, Bouillon or Consomme
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
  • 0 1/2 tsp Caraway Seed
  • 0 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 24 oz Polish Kielbasa (Turkey and Beef, Smoked)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat and sauté sliced white onion 5 minutes until soft. Add sauerkraut, broth, mustard, bay leaf, caraway seeds and peppercorns; mix well. Cover pan and simmer mixture 30 minutes. 
  2. Add sausage, mix well and simmer 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving.
