×INGREDIENTS
-
0 1/2 cup Real Mayonnaise
-
0 1/2 cup Sour Cream (Cultured)
-
0 3/4 cup sprigs Dill
-
1 1/2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
-
2 tbsp Heavy Cream
-
1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
DIRECTIONS
Dill sauce is the classic accompaniment to cold fish (particularly poached salmon), meat and poultry dishes. Also try it with eggs and vegetables. If you have the time and inclination, use the Atkins recipe for Mayonnaise or Blender Mayonnaise instead of manufactured mayo. See a variation below. Each serving is 2 Tbsp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, dill, mustard, cream and lemon juice. Stir in salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Caper-Dill Sauce: Prepare Dill Sauce according to directions, substituting a pinch of cayenne pepper for the black pepper and stirring in 2 tablespoons drained, chopped capers.
Cooking Tip
If you’ve tried this sauce and like it, try experimenting with herbs and spices to flavor it your way!
