You’ve Reached Your Goal – Now What

May 1, 2015

After losing 25 pounds on Atkins, I’m at my goal weight. For the first time in my life I’m at the size my body was designed to be to stay healthy. Getting here has been a journey, but it’s not ever over!

I’m still on Atkins 40 to make sure I maintain my weight. Even though I have a bit more flexibility in what I can eat on this plan, I still watch it so I don’t fall off the wagon and return to my old habits and lifestyle. Sometimes keeping the weight off can be almost as challenging as losing it. Now that you’re slimmer and healthier it’s easy to feel like rewarding yourself with food or laying off your exercise routine by saying to yourself “I’ve reached my goal, I’m done with my diet!”

For me, I try to remember how far I’ve come and continue to make healthy food and life choices. I feel so great and have much more energy. I want to keep it this way for the rest of my life. So, so long to the sweets and breads I used to love to eat. I’m sorry, but I just don’t love you anymore. After living this healthy lifestyle for so long, I barely miss them.

Have you reached your goal weight? What are you doing to stay there? Come on, let’s hear it!

Love,

Mrs. O
